The Very Nice Nissi Beach In Photos
September 16, 2014
This time last year I was in the beautiful Ayia Napa in Cyprus. One of the many stunning beaches I visited while I was there was the legendary Nissi Beach. I call it legendary because I had heard a lot it being a very popular party beach, night and day, in Cyprus. Now I did not stay there until sun down, but it definitely was a popular beach during the day. Lots of flirting going on and party pamphlets handed out. So I am sure everything I had heard about it it night time were true as well. ;-)
But back to the very nice Nissi Beach. Today I thought I would share some of stunning views I managed to capture with my camera during my visit there. Below is the very nice Nissi Beach In Photos:

Here I go.

Popular indeed. :-)

Time to soak in the sun.

And take a swim in that glorious ocean!

Splash!

Ahhh! Need I say more? :p

My Experience At the Olympic Lagoon Resort In Ayia Napa, Cyprus
September 16, 2013
I recently spent one fantastic all inclusive week at the fabulous Olympic Lagoon Resort in Ayia Napa, Cyprus. And I could not be more happy with my stay there. I really have no complaints, just a few small thoughts on what could make the hotel even better than it is today. But all in all my experience there exceeded my expectations in all areas; service, food, drinks, facilities, entertainment and so on. Therefore I definitely recommend everyone to go there.
And I do not say that lightly. Because I have now visited 28 countries and countless cities I have also stayed at a lot of hotels. Of course the All Inclusive category is a particular one, but compared to the hotels I have stayed at in that category, The Olympic Lagoon Resort in Ayia Napa, Cyprus, is without a doubt the best one (so far, I should add). But even outside of that category, with regards to service, cleanliness, quality of facilities and amenities for instance - the hotel certainly hold very high standards.
To give an idea of what I am talking about, below are some photos from My Experience At the Olympic Lagoon Resort In Ayia Napa, Cyprus. Along with some more of my thoughts on my stay there.

Here I am outside the impressive entrance to the Olympic Lagoon Resort in Ayia Napa, Cyprus.

Reception.

Some of the reasons I chose to stay at this hotel.

Our standard room, which I shared with my sister.

Would have loved a bit wider bed, but other than that it was very comfy. :-)

Our balcony, which had a wonderful view!!

My favourite pool! For adults only. Though I definitely do not mind children, it was quite nice to have a pool like this. Hehe. ;-)

Another lovely pool.

One more cool pool.

With a bubbly section. :p

There was also a relaxing Lazy River you could float around in.

The wonderful pool bar!

Where I was a frequent customer of course. Lol! ;p But it was all inclusive, so why not? And they made amazingly delicious drinks! Which was very needed in the warm weather there, about 30 degrees Celsius at a minimum every day. To the left - an ice cold beer. To the right - a Sex On The Beach. Yuuummy!!

I also had a few of these babies - Piña Coladas! The ultimate classic holiday drink, in my opinion. :p

Of course there were other ways to cool off in the sun as well, like with one of these!

This was the beach (Golden Beach) closest to the hotel, about a 5 minute walk. It was very beautiful! Sunbeds cost 7,5 Euros for two though, a bit expensive I thought. But other than that it was great.
Beautiful clear water and sand bottom! Simply perfect!

Back at the hotel there sure were plenty of ways to keep oneself entertained. Although I preferred to just hang out by the pool or at any of the beaches nearby. Lol!

Of course, when you are on an All Inclusive vacation there is no time to feel hungry.

The main restaurant.

Breakfast, well - some of it. Hehe.

There were also plenty of fresh fruits and yogurts to choose from.

As well as different freshly squeezed juices.

My favourites from the breakfast selection. I especially LOVED the waffles, so crispy and light. The coffee was excellent as well, perfect in strength - just the way I like it. :p The pancakes were a bit tasteless and rubbery, other than that I have nothing but great things to say about the breakfast! And what you see here is only perhaps a fifth of what there was to choose from.

Lunch. Always lots to choose from, tasty and different foods every day.Their pizzas were great!

OK, now the desserts - OH MY GOSH!!!! I give my highest compliments to the pastry chef/s there! I have never eaten as many marvelous tasting desserts in my life as I did during my week at this hotel. And there were desserts both at lunch and dinner, oh my! I mean, I do not even have a sweet tooth. Lol!

Some of my favourites were the petit choux and the pannacotta - just to mention a few. But really, ALL of the desserts were amazing!!!

Dinner time.

Some of the dishes.

My dinner one of the nights. The food was always well cooked, the pasta, fish, chicken, meat and so on. There was a different theme every night, my favourite was the Asian theme! So delicious! And I was surprised by how well flavoured the food was too that night. So they sure have great cooks there. :-) The only thing I would have loved was a few more fish dishes to choose from.

The fun Rock N Roll diner, included in the All Inclusive. You could eat here as many times as you liked.

Looked very authentic.

But I have to say that the food did not taste as authentic as it looked. The milkshake was pretty much flavoured milk, the "Classic" burger did not taste very classic, it tasted like a lamb burger with herbs. The fries were good though.
Now I have been to a proper fifties diner in San Francisco, USA, where I had a milkshake, ice cream sundae and fries (not all by myself though), so I know how it should taste. And that is what I compare it to.

And here I am at that diner in San Francisco, USA. Now that is one HUGE milkshake and ice cream sundae! Lol! Tasted amazing!

There were plenty of options of what to do in the evenings as well. Sing perhaps? Ehum - no! Lol!

Unwind at the fancy Cinnamon Bar.

Or just sit back, relax and enjoy the evening at one of the pool bars.

With a martini for instance. :p

In case it has not come through in this post, I had an absolutely amazing time in Ayia Napa, Cyprus, at the Olympic Lagoon Resort. One week went by wayyyy too fast!!! I wish I was there right now! Because it is a proper wet, cold and windy autumn day here in Sweden today...
Another huge positive about this hotel by the way, that I really appreciated, was the free good speed Wi Fi which was available all over the hotel - and which worked pretty great too. Because it is very helpful to be able to go online at anytime, for many reasons, when you are abroad. For instance, to contact family, check up on flights, local area information and so on. So a huge plus indeed.
Something I would have loved to have had included in the price, or perhaps offered at a cheaper cost than a taxi, was airport transfer. Which cost 55 Euros with a taxi from Larnaca airport to this hotel in Ayia Napa. But like I said, all in all I was very happy with my stay at the fantastic Olympic Lagoon Resort in Ayia Napa, Cyprus.
To sum it all up I would give this hotel 4+ out of 5 stars, pretty much in concurrence with the grade it has on Tripadvisor. To get a 5 it should offer free airport transfer, more fish dishes for dinner, an iron in the rooms and the Rock N Roll Diner should improve on the authenticity of the food there. Now obviously it was impossible for me to check out or try everything around the hotel area, so I base my opinions in this post on what I in fact did experience there. And of course I would love to go back and experience more. ;-)

May 6, 2013
Before we get into the nitty gritty of the immensity that is Ayia Napa itinerary fillers… have you booked your break? Spring is upon us, people, and the later your leave it the more likely you are to miss out on a mega session in the sun. Top tip, number one? Book with the meisters of madness, Club 18-30, have a tinkle online for the best deals: http://www.club18-30.com/ayia-napa-cyprus.
The good thing about booking with a reputable clubbing holiday company is that there will ALWAYS be a party oracle on hand to make sure you do Ayia Napa so right, it’s wrong.
1. Glow Party
This is the big un, lads and lasses. Held at Blue Moon, you’re pretty much heading underground to get your rave on. Neon and plenty of UVA are absolutely compulsory, and don’t forget it.
2. The Linekers Boat Party
Everyone loves the Linekers. It’s up there with the best boat parties going. Not only do you have the opportunity to chillax offshore and bronze your bits, unlike many other parties of its kind, Linekers presents party peeps a 3.5 hour free bar for those hardcore holidaying hooligans.
3. Geek Chic
This has got to be the biggest trend going right now. Pack your bow ties, specs and suspenders and prepare to do your thang to some clubbing classics.
4. Naparazzi
Get ready for some serious strip hitting with the barmiest army of clubbing kings and queens that ever did live. Also includes entry into a freakin’ amazing foam party.
5. Silent Arena
It’s an oldie, but it’s a bloomin’ funny goody. Silent Arena, you know the score, two DJs battle it out to win over the dance floor, while you wear headphones and pick your playlist.
Get on iiiiiiiit! Ayia Napa clubbing holidays 2013, what the bloomin’ ‘eck are you waitin’ for?
